Terms of Use
In force for KinVisa 0.1.21 and later. Published September 10, 2026, updated October 12, 2026.
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of KinVisa Relationship Photo Documents ("KinVisa"), including its website, desktop application, downloads, updates, support, and related services.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using KinVisa, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use KinVisa. The app asks you to confirm your agreement before you first use it, and again after a material change to these Terms.
You must have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use KinVisa.
Who You Are Dealing With
KinVisa is operated by Muhammad Momin Babar, a sole proprietor based in Pakistan, trading as KinVisa. A postal address is available on request from [email protected].
Where these Terms refer to "the operator", "we", "us", or "our", they mean that person. Where they refer to a payment being taken, see the Payments and Refunds section: Polar is the Merchant of Record and seller of record for the sale itself.
What KinVisa Does
KinVisa helps users organise photos and related context into relationship evidence or visa-evidence PDF packets. The app may use AI-assisted face recognition to help identify repeated people across photos once you’ve labelled them, so you can prepare evidence packets faster.
Using the desktop app requires a KinVisa account, and saving a finished PDF spends one credit from that account. The Accounts section and the Credits and PDF Exports section below set out how both work.
KinVisa is a productivity tool — not a law firm, immigration adviser, visa consultant, government service, or document-filing service.
No Legal or Immigration Advice
KinVisa does not provide legal advice, immigration advice, application strategy, eligibility decisions, or guarantees about any visa, passport, immigration, or government outcome.
You are responsible for checking the requirements of the embassy, consulate, immigration office, passport office, court, agency, or other recipient to whom you submit documents, and for reviewing all generated PDFs before submitting them.
For advice about Australian immigration, consult a registered migration agent or
Australian legal practitioner. For New Zealand immigration advice, consult a
licensed immigration adviser or another person legally permitted to provide it.
License to Use KinVisa
Subject to these Terms, KinVisa grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the desktop application for your personal or internal document-preparation purposes.
You may not:
- copy, resell, rent, sublicense, or commercially host KinVisa without our written permission;
- reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or bypass its account, credit, or security controls, except where applicable law allows it;
- use KinVisa to build a competing product or service by copying its interface, workflow, or proprietary features;
- use KinVisa in a way that violates the law, infringes others’ rights, or causes harm.
Accounts
You need an account to use the desktop app. You create one by entering your email address and opening the single-use link we email to you. There is no password.
You are responsible for the email address you sign in with and for the security of the inbox it belongs to. Anyone who can open a sign-in link sent to that inbox can sign in to your account, along with the credits and unlocked documents it holds. Tell us at the address in the Contact section if you believe someone else has reached your account.
One account is for one person. You may not share it, sell it, or transfer it.
Your account holds your credits and the record of which documents you have unlocked. Your projects, photos, and face data stay on your computer, as the Privacy Policy describes — they are not stored in your account and do not follow it to another computer.
You can sign out, change your account email address, or permanently delete your account from the Settings screen. Deleting an account removes any credits it holds, the record of the documents it has unlocked, and the app-managed local data for that account on the computer where you confirm deletion; none can be restored afterwards. Files you deliberately saved elsewhere are not deleted. Limited payment and credit audit records may be retained without your KinVisa profile where needed for accounting, tax, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, or legal obligations, and Polar may retain historical order information under its own policies. Account deletion does not itself request a refund.
We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these Terms, as described in the Termination section.
Credits and PDF Exports
The app shows you a free preview of your finished document before anything is spent. The preview is deliberately lower fidelity than the export: it is intended for checking your pages, ordering, and captions, not as a substitute for the document itself.
Saving the document spends one credit from your account. Once a document has been saved, that same document stays unlocked for your account — rebuilding, previewing, or saving it again costs nothing further. Editing it produces a different document, which is a separate unlock and spends another credit.
A credit is a right to save one document through the app. It is not money, has no cash value, and cannot be withdrawn, transferred between accounts, or exchanged for anything other than a document export.
A new account starts with no credits, and signing up does not give you any. Credits are obtained by buying one-time packs through the app. An account with no credit is told so and the document is not exported until a credit is available.
Credit-pack prices are published on the Pricing page of our website and exclude tax. Any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you live is added on top at checkout by the payment provider named in the Payments and Refunds section, so the total you pay will be higher than the published price. The full total is shown to you before you confirm. The price, payment terms, and refund rules shown at the time of purchase apply.
We may change what a credit costs, what it covers, or how credits are granted, for future purchases. A change of that kind does not take away a credit already in your account or unlock you already hold.
If we decide to stop the service, or to stop honouring credits, we will tell you before it happens and give you a period in which you can still use the credits you hold. Saving a document requires our service to be reachable, so the service stays available for that period; a notice period during which credits could not actually be spent would be no notice at all. We will say how long the period is when we give notice. Credits you have not used by the end of it are refunded, as the Refund Policy sets out: a credit you never spent is one we never delivered. This paragraph is about the service ending, not about it being briefly unavailable, which the Downloads, Updates, and Availability section covers.
You may not work around the credit requirement — by modifying the app, tampering with its stored data, intercepting or replaying its requests to our service, extracting the document from the preview, or any comparable route.
Ownership
KinVisa, including its software, design, branding, and underlying technology, except for the open-source software described below, is owned by Muhammad Momin Babar. These Terms give you a license to use the app as described above — they do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
KinVisa includes open-source software that is licensed under its own terms. It is listed in Settings → About. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those licences.
Your Content and Responsibilities
You are responsible for the photos, names, labels, notes, dates, descriptions, and other content you add to KinVisa, and you confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to use that content and include it in any documents you export.
You are also responsible for:
- confirming that names, labels, dates, captions, and document pages are accurate;
- removing sensitive content you don’t want included before export;
- deciding whether an exported PDF is suitable for your purpose;
- keeping your own backups of important files and exported documents.
AI Face Recognition
AI face recognition is provided as an assistive feature. It may be inaccurate or incomplete, and can be affected by image quality, lighting, pose, age, occlusion, or similarity between people.
Don’t rely on AI output without review — always check labels and generated documents before using them.
Local Processing and Connected Services
KinVisa is designed to process your photo evidence locally on your device wherever possible. Your photos, face data, and project content are processed and stored on your computer, and the finished PDF is built there.
Some features use connected services, as described in our Privacy Policy. Account sign-in and the credit check that runs when you save a document are among them, and neither can be switched off — the app needs an internet connection to sign you in and to save a document, and will not do either while offline. Website, update, analytics, error-reporting, and support features also use connected services.
Your use of KinVisa is also subject to that Privacy Policy, which explains what information may be collected, why it’s used, how it’s stored, and which service providers may be involved.
Downloads, Updates, and Availability
We may update, improve, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of KinVisa at any time. Updates may change features, compatibility, or behaviour.
We work to keep downloads and support available, but we don’t guarantee that the website, app, update system, sign-in, credit checks, or support channels will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Payments and Refunds
Credit packs are sold at the prices published on the Pricing page of our website. Payment is taken by Polar Software, Inc. (polar.sh), acting as the Merchant of Record for the sale. Polar is the seller of record: it calculates and remits the tax that applies where you live and issues your receipt. Your purchase is therefore a contract with Polar as reseller, and Polar's own terms and privacy policy apply to it, alongside these Terms and our Refund Policy which govern your use of what you bought. The name shown on your card statement is set by Polar and may not read "KinVisa"; if a charge is unfamiliar, write to us before disputing it. At checkout you are asked to agree to these Terms and the Refund Policy, and we email you a confirmation of your purchase and of that agreement.
Refunds are assessed by us against our Refund Policy. Polar may also cancel a transaction and refund a buyer on its own initiative, as its terms allow.
Credits are bought as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is no ongoing charge to cancel. Anything bought is for the purchasing account only and may not be shared, resold, or transferred.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, published on our website, which forms part of these Terms. In short: previewing is free and unlimited, so a purchase is final once a credit has been spent; a pack you have not touched at all is considered case by case, while a pack you have started using is not refundable; and duplicate charges, payments that did not deliver, and charges you did not authorise are always corrected. Nothing in that policy or these Terms limits a consumer right you hold under the law of the country you live in, and where that law gives you more, it applies.
Third-Party Services
KinVisa relies on third-party platforms or services for hosting, downloads, accounts and sign-in, email delivery, analytics, error reporting, support, data storage, and payment processing. Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
Acceptable Use
You may not use KinVisa to:
- create, submit, or distribute fraudulent, misleading, unlawful, or forged documents;
- impersonate another person;
- violate privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or other rights;
- upload or process content you do not have permission to use;
- interfere with the website, app, account and credit systems, or connected services;
- create multiple accounts, or use someone else's account, to obtain credits you are not entitled to.
Your Consumer Guarantees
Some rights cannot be signed away, and this section comes before the ones below so it is not read last.
If you are in Australia, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure with the service, you are entitled to cancel and to a refund for the unused part, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the problem fixed within a reasonable time, and if that is not done, to cancel and obtain a refund for the unused part.
If you are in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act gives you comparable rights. If you are elsewhere, the equivalent law where you live applies in the same way.
Nothing in the Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability or Indemnification sections below excludes, restricts or modifies any of those rights. Where anything in this document conflicts with a consumer right you hold that cannot be contracted out of, that right wins and the conflicting wording does not apply to you.
Indemnification
If someone brings a claim against us because of something you did deliberately and wrongly — content you had no right to use, a breach of the Acceptable Use section, or a document you knowingly used to mislead an embassy, consulate, immigration office, court or other authority — you agree to cover the loss that claim causes us, including reasonable legal costs.
This is limited in three ways, so that it stays a protection against deliberate misuse rather than a way of moving our own risk onto you:
- it does not apply to the extent the claim was caused by us, by a fault in the app, or by our own breach of these Terms;
- it does not apply to an honest mistake, such as a caption you got wrong or a document an authority simply did not accept;
- it does not reduce the consumer guarantees set out above, and we will not use it to recover from you an amount we owe you under them.
We will tell you promptly about any claim we expect you to cover, and will not settle it without asking you first.
Disclaimers
Subject to Your Consumer Guarantees above, and except for the guarantees and rights described there, KinVisa is provided as it is and as it is available. Beyond those rights we give no further warranty, express, implied or statutory, about non-infringement, availability, or error-free operation.
We do not promise that KinVisa will produce a document accepted by any government or organisation, detect every person correctly, or prevent mistakes in exported PDFs. No one can promise the first of those, because whether evidence is accepted is a decision for the authority you send it to and not for a piece of software.
This section does not reduce the consumer guarantees set out above.
Limitation of Liability
This section is subject to Your Consumer Guarantees above and does not apply to any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability under the consumer guarantees described there, and liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Where those apply, your remedies are whatever the law gives you, and nothing here caps them.
Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profits, lost data, lost documents, application refusal, delay, legal fees, or immigration-related consequences — and our total liability for any other claim relating to the product is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50 if you paid nothing.
To be plain about what that means: if the app fails you in a way the consumer law covers, the cap above does not apply to that failure.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, or your access to KinVisa, downloads, or support, if you violate these Terms, misuse the product, interfere with our services, or create legal or security risk.
Termination does not by itself remove the projects, photos, or PDFs saved on your computer; those are yours and stay where they are. It does end access to the account and to any credits or unlocks held in it.
Where we close an account for one of the reasons above, the credits in it you have not spent are forfeited and are not refunded. We close accounts only for those reasons — serious misuse, interference with our services, or legal or security risk — and not for a trivial or accidental breach. If we close an account in error, we will restore it together with the credits and unlocks it held.
You may stop using KinVisa at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and responsibility for your content.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
That choice does not take away any protection given to you by the consumer law of the country you live in, where that law cannot be contracted out of. If you live in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law applies to your purchase whatever this section says. If you live in New Zealand, so does the Consumer Guarantees Act. The same goes for the equivalent law anywhere else you live.
You may bring a claim about these Terms in the courts of the country you live in, and we will not ask those courts to send it to Pakistan. We will bring any claim against you only in the courts of the country you live in. Requiring you to travel to another country to be heard would not be a fair way to settle a disagreement about a purchase this size.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide notice through the website, app, release notes, or another reasonable method.
Where a change materially reduces what you get or adds a meaningful obligation, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect, and say plainly what is changing. If you do not want to accept it, you may stop using KinVisa and ask us to refund any credits you have not spent; write to the address in the Contact section and we will refund them. Your continued use after that notice period means you accept the change.
For a change that does not reduce what you get — a correction, a clarification, or a new feature described — the updated Terms apply from the date we publish them.
We will not apply a change retrospectively to a purchase you have already made. The version that governs a purchase is the one published when you made it.
Miscellaneous
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and KinVisa regarding its use, and supersede any earlier agreements on the subject. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
